What inspired the Prayer art work?

Prayer is my visual response to the ritual action of a person in prayer; in contemplative union with the divine. The energy created from the feeling generated from within the body, radiates outwardly, and like a wave, its energy is carried outwardly to wherever or whomever it is being focused on or directed towards.

A true prayer cannot be seen. What we actually see is the precursor to the prayer. The contemplation, the ceremonies, the physical movements, sound making or mantra chanting. These things are the precursor that help evoke and create the feeling inside the body. The feeling is the prayer, and the words, thoughts, ceremonies or actions, help create the feeling within. It is the feeling within that is the energy, which radiates outwardly into the world.
