What inspired the Dance of Light art work?

The Dance of Light was a created to honour the source of pure light that we experience from the star closest to Planet Earth, the Sun. Without light, there is no experience of life.

Light gives life (energy, frequency, vibration and vitality) to all living things seen, through to the micro organisms that we can’t see. This light source sustains life in all its forms. You, I, and all things, absorbs knowingly or not, its energies and life force. It sustains, nourishes, and nurtures us. It also helps us to evolve. We are deeply connected to this entity. The Sun has a deeply spiritual significance to us. The sun was revered and worshipped by ancient cultures and wisdom traditions for a reason. They knew and understood the secrets and power it keeps.

The light that comes from the sun is scientifically defined as Energy in the form of electromagnetic radiation. It spans a large range of wavelengths, from gamma rays, to radio waves. The actual wavelengths that our eyes are able to detect is significantly very small within its larger broader spectrum.

The common assumption is that the Sun is yellow, (orange or red). The Sun is in essence all colours mixed together, which appears to our eyes as white. It’s easier to see the true colour of the sun when viewing pictures of it taken from outers space. This pure light is transformed into all the wonderful luminous colours we observe in the world around us. Reflected light waves bounce off all the objects we see. The retina at the back of our eyes contain rods and cones that react to different wavelengths of light, sending electrical signals to our brain which processes the information. From this we experience the colours we see.
